It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, in addition to an additional six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a team that has achieved everything.

That it took until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the female 50-over format, is, frankly, a testament to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their batters to possess a record if not provided the possibility.

In the end, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a platform to produce her most recent brilliance.

Then best known as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after her country didn't secure either of the T20 or ODI World Cups held the previous year and has witnessed all through 15 successful years since.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fall short again.

Whether this recent magnificent innings topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the test that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this ton was far harder to anticipate.

"An opportunity to play and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, sort of got me going," said Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 deliveries - her fastest at the World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed the team needed 66 additional runs at one run per ball - an unconquered height now needing a comfortable finish.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the last competing nations at this championship should hear.

During the last week a sense they will win from any position has only strengthened - this triumph succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at one stage.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may probably be guaranteed.
