🔗 Share this article Toy Story 5 Trailer Sets The Beloved Duo Against a Digital Device It has been 30 anniversary since the original Toy Story movie debuted, establishing Pixar as a major film company and introducing audiences to iconic characters like the cowboy doll (Tom Hanks) and the space ranger (Tim Allen), who are now household names. Coming in 2026, the next chapter is scheduled for release. The initial preview for Toy Story 5 landed recently, providing a brief look into the plot but keeping viewers wondering how it will resolve the conclusion of Toy Story 4. Bonnie's New Toy: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Spooks the Toys In the teaser reveals the young girl — who inherited the toy collection when he grew up — getting a latest toy, one that alarms Woody, Buzz, and the crew. Bonnie acquires her initial digital gadget, and she is excited about it. Theoretically, the frog-shaped tablet will come to life just like Bonnie's other toys. However, the toys appear to consider it as a threat intending to supplant them, which it probably is. The Cowboy's Comeback: Mysteries from Toy Story 4 An element the trailer doesn't touch on is what Woody is back with his companions in Bonnie's room. The end of Toy Story 4 depicted him set off on a new adventure with the shepherdess (the actress), journeying with a fair and assisting giveaway items find good homes. Certainly, Pixar will address the aftermath of Toy Story 4 in the film. Witnessing him appear in Bonnie's room unexpectedly is a little strange, however. It also raises questions whether Bo Peep will have returned with him. And what about Duke Caboom (the star)? Connections from the Last Installment At the very least, some aspects are continuing from the prior film. The final act the cowboy did before departing for his new life was pass his symbol of authority to Jessie (Joan Cusack), leaving her in charge of Bonnie's bedroom. The clip shows the badge pinned to her shirt. Hopefully she is remains the key figure among the group. Toy Story 5 debuts on June 19, 2026.
